Ryan Giggs is set to to take over from Francesco Guidolin at Swansea after talks with Huw Jenkins and the club's new US investors.

Jose Mourinho has told Wayne Rooney to get his own form sorted before lecturing any of his Manchester United teammates.

Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is eyeing a move to Real Madrid.

Wayne Rooney is prepared to accept he is no longer an automatic pick for Manchester United following Jose Mourinho's decision to drop him.

Pep Guardiola insists Manchester City will cope without Kevin de Bruyne, who is expected to miss a month with a hamstring injury picked up in Saturday's win at Swansea.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has revealed their new goal-scoring hero Son Heung-min wanted to leave the club this summer after a frustrating first season in the Premier League and had to be talked out of it.

Former Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski has hinted that long-time Germany team-mate and Manchester United misfit Bastian Schweinsteiger could be set for a move to MLS.

Wayne Rooney will not quit Manchester United despite being dropped by Jose Mourinho.

AC Milan striker M'Baye Niang has confirmed he had the chance to join Arsenal from Caen back in 2012 when he opted to join the Serie A giants instead.

Leicester have reportedly asked for Manchester United's Morgan Schneiderlin as part of any move for Danny Drinkwater.

Barcelona have confirmed that star player Lionel Messi has been ruled out for three weeks after picking up a groin injury.

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has revealedhe was offered the job of assistant manager at Manchester City in 2010

Kevin de Bruyne has been ruled out for four weeks after scans revealed the Manchester City forward has torn a muscle in his hamstring.

West Ham will reportedly offer Cesc Fabregas an escape route from Chelsea if the Spaniard cannot cement himself a regular spot in Antonio Conte's team.

MKHITARYAN'S SCORING
RECORD AGAINST ZORYA
Zorya Luhansk visit Old Trafford as virtual unknowns to
Manchester United fans on Thursday, yet Henrikh
Mkhitaryan knows all about the Europa League foes
from his time in Ukraine.
The summer signing played for Metalurh
Donetsk throughout the 2009/10 season
when he came across Zorya in two
consecutive league draws, before moving
to rivals Shakhtar Donetsk in the
summer.
Mkhitaryan did not feature in two
matches against Zorya during his debut
season with Shakhtar, but his first
appearance against them in 2011/12 was
a great success, scoring twice in a
thumping 5-1 away win at Avanyard
Stadium that contributed to his team-
mates winning the title that campaign.
The 2012/13 season was also particularly
fruitful for Mkhitaryan in both home and
away matches against Zorya as he
netted in consecutive 3-0 wins. Those two
finishes helped him to break the record
for the most goals scored by a single
player in a Ukrainian Premier League
season (25).
In total, Mkhitaryan has scored four
goals in five matches against Thursday’s
Europa League opponents and the
Armenian will undoubtedly hope to
improve his impressive tally at Old
Trafford, if fit and selected.
Henrikh has not featured for the Reds
since the Manchester derby on 10
September, but Jose Mourinho suggested
he is close to being available and may
update that situation during his pre-
match press conference on Wednesday at
13:30 BST, which you can follow live on
ManUtd.com.

'JUST LET HIM PLAY' - POGBA
TIPPED TO SHINE IN FREE ROLE BY
FORTUNE
Peter Staunton
The world's most expensive
footballer settled into life at Old
Trafford with a goal against
Leicester and the ex-South Africa
international believes there is
more to come
Paul Pogba can become an all-time
Manchester United great if he’s
allowed to flourish in a free role
according to former United player
Quinton Fortune.
EIGHT Premier League managers
accused of taking ‘bungs’
The world’s most expensive footballer
thrived in a more advanced role during
the 4-1 win against Leicester City last
weekend and Fortune believes the key
to success is surrounding Pogba with
players who allow him freedom to
express himself.
The 23-year-old opened his United
account with a goal against the
champions in the absence of Wayne
Rooney and Fortune says there is much
more to come from the ex-Juventus
star.
“For me, his role’s just got to be to
play his game, let the team win and
his natural ability will show,” Fortune
told Goal.
Griezmann’s final chance to challenge
for Ballon d’Or
“They’ve got more ball players around
him now. [Juan] Mata and [Ander]
Herrera allow him to be free. The
problem with Pogba is that he is
strong, can defend and attack - he can
do everything. Sometimes that can be
a negative thing. Just put him on the
pitch, forget all the complications and
the tactical stuff. Just let the kid
play.”
At Juventus, Pogba was accompanied
in midfield by the likes of Andrea
Pirlo, Claudio Marchisio, Arturo Vidal
and Sami Khedira, and Fortune tips
Pogba to shine when he gains a strong
understanding with his current United
team-mates.
“When he was so successful at Juve,
the players around him were Pirlo and
Vidal,” said Fortune. “He was allowed
to express himself. Pirlo left and he
took over that role and became more
responsible. You’ll get to see that
confidence, the understanding with
team-mates. He’s come into a team
where they’ve been playing a certain
style for two years and he’s come in
with a new style. [Jose] Mourinho’s
trying to implement his way of
playing.”
Verratti: I'm here to win CL
Eyebrows were raised when United
sanctioned a world record €110m deal
to re-sign their own former youth
team player but Fortune insists that it
was the right thing to do regardless of
the price tag.
“I would’ve done anything to get him
back,” Fortune admitted. “We didn’t
want him to leave in the first place.
We all know, even before he left,
what he was like. He’s got stronger at
Juve, he’s a better player now for that
experience.
PLAY
“He scored a good goal so that will
settle him down. Everyone will support
him and they love him from before.
He’s a very humble guy. You speak to
everyone at the training ground and
they say he’s an amazing kid who isn’t
fazed by the hype. He gets on with the
job.”
Allardyce hits back at media
Fortune recognises that Pogba had to
endure some tough moments in his first
few United outings but put that down
to the player attempting to prove
himself too quickly in a new
environment.
“Like every human being he wanted to
do everything at the beginning,”
Fortune said. “That happens with the
pressure, the price tag, but now he
looks like he’s taking it in his stride,
not trying to do stuff he hasn’t before.
“But to have a player like that in your
team is fantastic. He’s coming from
Italy where it’s more tactical. The
Premier League is tough.
Ben Arfa fighting to save PSG career
“Some players take a season to adapt;
he’s having to adapt quickly because
of the price tag. Some wouldn’t be
able to deal with it.
“He was probably trying too hard the
first few games – ‘I’m Pogba, I’m here
and want to show you’ - but is
showing what he can do now. There’s
much more to come.”
